Jetpack Glasses bring a new lens to life, from sunshine to screens

Analog Augmented Reality combines adaptive red lenses, UV protection, and blue and green light filtering in a fully analog design, with no cameras, batteries, or AI.

Jetpack Glasses bring together adaptive red lenses, a distinctive black frame, and a fully analog approach to eyewear. Built for people who move between daylight and screens, the glasses filter ultraviolet, blue, and green light without adding a camera, microphone, battery, or Internet connection.

Developed with a medical-grade optical technology company, the lenses combine a light-to-dark transition with a vertical tint gradient. Jetpack calls the approach Analog Augmented Reality: changing how light reaches the wearer through optics, without an electronic display or artificial intelligence.

One pair. A changing world.

The adaptive red lenses become lighter in darker surroundings and darker in bright sunshine. A top-to-bottom gradient provides a variation in tint across the lens. Together, these features bring outdoor light filtering and screen-oriented optics into a single pair of glasses.

The frame is made from premium organic acetate, with a broad lens shape and a distinctive double bridge. Each pair includes a custom engraved JETPACK hardshell case.

Optical performance, put to the test.

The lens supplier arranged professional laboratory testing of two sample lenses in their unactivated, light state. The reported results include:

  • 100% UV blocking: 0.00% reported transmittance across 280–400 nm.
  • 85.19% harmful blue light blocking: as reported in the supplier’s test summary.
  • Approximately 75%–80% green light attenuation: with about 20% transmittance around 520 nm.

The certification report records passes against the listed European BS EN ISO 12312-1:2013+A1:2015, Australian/New Zealand AS/NZS 1067.1:2016, and American ANSI Z80.3-2018 standards. The optical measurements describe the tested lenses and conditions.

The Jetpack Glasses Certification memo includes the report image and further details. Official copies of the certification statements are available upon request.

Privacy starts with what isn’t there.

Jetpack Glasses contain no electronic components, audio or video recording, or artificial intelligence. They do not connect to the Internet. There is nothing to charge, pair, or update.

That design makes the glasses an option for people who want light-filtering eyewear without introducing a connected device into personal, work, or confidential settings.

A protective home for Jetpack Glasses.

The proprietary protective Jetpack Case keeps the glasses together in a custom engraved hardshell enclosure. The views below show the case closed and opened with the glasses inside.
