Bitcoin Capsule

Ancient gray stone time capsule with an engraved Bitcoin symbol

The wonders of the ancient world.

Do you know why the Pyramids create such wonder? It’s not just because the ancient Egyptian culture was such a dynamic and interesting period in human history (though that’s true), but rather it’s due to the mystery surrounding how and why they were built, and how they’ve lasted so long.

You can travel to Egypt, step just outside the city, and bam, you come face to face with a giant monument erected by humans 4,500 years ago. Our state-of-the-art technology and build processes would struggle to recreate it due to its sheer size, weight, and precision, which only adds to its mystique.

It inspires wonder because it lasts. As we’ve said before, Life = Persistent Difference.

It’s certainly different, and it darn sure has been persistent. It’s the only Wonder of the Ancient World that still stands.

Creating something new to stand the test of time.

Of course, now the question becomes whether we can do something like that again. Then, if we can give that kind of power to every individual.

The power to create something that lasts forever.

You can post a photo or a tweet on the Internet, but that assumes the company, website, and app will still survive. Given most Fortune 500 companies only last on the index a paltry 15 years, that’s not something we can count on. Here today, gone today.

You can write a book, but the paper will decompose or get thrown into a trash heap. Over thousands of years, it’s unlikely to survive.

So then we move to stronger materials. Steel and stone. But earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, and climate change can topple buildings over time periods less than a century.

What do we do?

We need a new medium that persists over vast time scales.

Life appears to be one of those things. Dormant DNA, traveling on the back of asteroids between solar systems, depositing its pollen to faraway lands to mix and explode into new forms of matter.

The answer under our collective nose.

So maybe what we need is Digital DNA to create the next form of matter. Expanding novelty is embedded into the foundational structure of the universe, after all.

Let’s therefore look to the Internet. It lasts forever. It keeps growing. It travels on spaceships to other planets; it’s traveled outside our solar system. It’s decentralized. It’s resilient to damage. It spreads. It alchemizes electricity into connected information that evolves over time.

The Internet is Digital DNA.

If that’s true, then what is its native storage mechanism that follows the same dynamics? Bitcoin. It also alchemizes electricity into connected information that evolves and expands over time.

Bitcoin is the Internet’s Digital DNA that grows via its blockchain.

Most people think it only stores energy in the form of money. But that’s just 1s and 0s as its core primitive. As the rise of AI continues unabated, and uses the internet as its backbone to learn, grow, and evolve, Bitcoin and other forks like it will drive its future.

So your best bet is to take the things you want to last, and put them on the Bitcoin blockchain. It’s the biggest, the baddest, and the most valuable internet-native digital DNA for digital life going interplanetary.

There will be others, surely, but they will reference this original blockchain beginning. The roots of evolution begin somewhere.

The inventor’s best friend.

This digital DNA serves another purpose. An immutable timestamp. With it, the ability to inscribe, and store, content to the Bitcoin blockchain for all time.

We just require a common way to write to it and read from it. We need a simple way such that civilizations of digital archaeologists, another 4,500 years in the future, can still peer into its past.

So we went ahead and built it.

We call it the Bitcoin Capsule. And gave you the ability to store it for all time.
