Jetpack Glasses Certification
Jetpack Glasses passed American, European, and Australian/New Zealand lab certification testing for 100% UV blocking, 85% blue light blocking, and 75-80% green light blocking.
The lens manufacturer for our Jetpack Glasses is a medical-grade optical technology company. We worked with them to establish never-before-achieved performance requirements in a breakthrough optical lens product.
It had to transition from light to dark in bright environments, contain a vertical gradient for maximum readability (e.g., like a continuous bifocal), block 100% of UV sunlight for outdoor use, and block blue and green light for extended periods of backlit computer screen viewing.
They performed comprehensive tests, with the results shown below. Please contact me if you require an official copy of the certification statements.
What the certification tests found
- UV400 protection: 100% full block. Reported transmittance was 0.00% across 280–400 nm.
- Blue light blocking: 85.19% of harmful blue light blocked. The certification test reports that the jetpack lenses fully meet American, European, Australian, and New Zealand national standards for blue light protection.
- Green light attenuation: 75%–80% blocked. Reported transmittance was approximately 20% at 520 nm. This reduces green light intensity while retaining enough signal-light recognition for safe use.
Analog Augmented Reality
Jetpack Glasses have no electronic components, no audio or video recording, and no artificial intelligence. They are completely analog technology for use in highly sensitive and confidential environments, both indoor and outdoor, for high-precision viewing in sunlight or dark and on computer or mobile screens.
Taken together, it supports feelings of calm in various types of environments, from personal life to work life.
